Bungalow Home Renovation

This bungalow renovation transformed approximately 1,500 sq. ft. of the main floor plus approximately 800 sq. ft. of the basement living area, creating a more modern and cohesive look throughout the home.

The main floor received new quality vinyl flooring, refinished stairs with new nosings, extensive interior painting, professionally sprayed trim and baseboards, railing refinishing with a protective clear coat, and new ceiling texture throughout the connected living area.

The bathroom was completely renovated and converted from the original tub configuration into a modern walk-in shower. The renovation included Schluter-KERDI waterproofing, large-format tile, a custom chevron-pattern feature wall, recessed niche, black-framed glass shower enclosure, new vanity and countertop, toilet, mirror, fixtures and updated finishes.

The main-floor fireplace area was also modernized by removing the original built-in shelving on both sides and replacing it with clean wood floating shelves, creating a more open and contemporary appearance.

In the basement, approximately 800 sq. ft. of the living area was updated. The work included painting and refinishing the doors, frames and baseboards. A new custom feature wall was also framed and built to accommodate a large electric fireplace where there had previously been no fireplace, creating a new focal point for the basement.
